Ergonomic Consultant

Our team is dedicated to helping businesses improve their office ergonomics, enhancing both comfort and efficiency.

Job Description: This position is ideal for those who are responsible, organized and enjoy working independently. We are looking for someone in the Ottawa area to provide office ergonomic assessments. These assessments will be done on site at various locations throughout the city and occasionally virtually. Ideally we would like 1-3 years of experience in the ergonomic field. Potential candidates must be interested in the dynamic world of consulting and must have a degree in Physiotherapy, Kinesiology/Human Kinetics, occupational therapy (must be member in good standing with their respective college), or be a Certified Canadian Professional Ergonomist (CCPE)

In this position, the selected candidate will work with existing clients on their health & safety needs, while providing ergonomic office assessments. There may be opportunities to complete Job Demands Analysis and Ergonomic Risk assessments on an as needed basis.

Requirements: Minimum of 1-3 years of experience

  • Ability to work independently to conduct ergonomic evaluations virtually, in office, and industrial environments

  • Ability to work with clients and employees directly in a professional manner.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both official languages (Ideal candidate would be bilingual - French and English).

  • Dependable, responsible, and organized.

  • Ability to analyze, problem solve and provide recommendations.

  • Able to send out reports within 5 business days

  • Knowledge of ergonomic regulations and standards.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook.

  • Must have a mobile phone, computer, and Microsoft suite

  • Have federal security clearance, or able to get security clearance.

  • Have access to a vehicle to drive to various office spaces around the city

Qualifications: Must be a Registered Kinesiologist or Canadian Certified Professional Ergonomist
