Alana O’Connor
Registered Kinesiologist
Owner
Alana holds a BSc (Kinesiology) from St. Francis Xavier University, is a Registered Kinesiologist and a member in good standing of the Ontario Kinesiology Association (OKA) and the Association of Canadian Ergonomists (ACE). She joined IPP in 2016 and has conducted numerous disability-related office and industrial ergonomic assessments for the City of Ottawa (2016-21), provincial and federal governments as well as the private sector.
Special projects: Alana is a natural educator. She has developed and delivered MSK prevention training for Hydro Ottawa’s outdoor crews as well as exercise videos during the pandemic. She has provided in-person and virtual training to office and industrial workers in a variety of settings since joining IPP.
Katie Ryan
Registered Kinesiologist, AE
Owner
Katie holds a BSc (Human Kinetics) from the University of Ottawa and a Graduate Certificate in Advanced Ergonomics from Fanshawe College, London, Ontario. She is a Registered Kinesiologist and member in good standing of the Ontario Kinesiology Association (OKA) and the Association of Canadian Ergonomists (ACE). She is an Associate Ergonomist (AE) with the Canadian College for the Certification of Professional Ergonomists (CCCPE).
Katie joined IPP in June 2017. She was part of the ergonomics services team for the City of Ottawa from 2017 to 2021 where she conducted numerous disability-related ergonomic assessments (office and industrial) across a broad range of work sectors. She has conducted hundreds of assessments for provincial and federal governments as well as for a broad range of private sector companies.

Amanda Bishop
Office Manager
Amanda has been in the Administration and Customer Service field for over 15 years. Her passion is to assist, organize and ensure day to day business runs smooth.
Amanda joined IPP in February of 2023 as an Administrative Assistant and has since been promoted to Office Manager. Amanda thrives in her new role as she is always learning and taking on new tasks to support the IPP team.

Andrea D'Alfonso
Registered Kinesiologist, C. Ped (C)
Andrea is a graduate from the University of Western Ontario, graduating in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology. She is a Registered Kinesiologist and Certified Pedorthist of Canada. She is a member in good standing of the Ontario Kinesiologist Association, Association of Canadian Ergonomists (ACE), as well as the College of Pedorthics in Canada.
She entered the ergonomic field in 2017 consulting with various private sector companies offering office and industrial assessments. Andrea joined IPP in May of 2023. She is now conducting numerous office ergonomic assessments for provincial and federal governments as well as the private sector.

Tim Plazek
Associate Ergonomic Consultant
Tim is a graduate from the University of Guelph with a Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics, and holds a Graduate Certificate in Advanced Ergonomics from Fanshawe College in London, Ontario. Tim is a member in good standing with the Association of Canadian Ergonomists (ACE).
Tim started with IPP in May 2024 as a Student Ergonomist, and has stayed on with the team to continue to provide ergonomic services to IPP clients as an Associate Consultant. Tim is now conducting ergonomic assessments for the federal government as well as the private sector.

Cheryl Witoski
CCPE
A graduate of Queen’s University (B. Sc. Physiotherapy), Cheryl is a Canadian Certified Professional Ergonomist (CCPE) with the Canadian College for the Certification of Professional Ergonomists. As one of the founding IPP partners, her ergonomics career spans 29 years over a broad range of office and industrial work environments. She has conducted thousands of ergonomic assessments throughout public & private sectors including the City of Ottawa (Project Manager 1997 - 2021), Canadian Blood Services (2000-2018), and more recently with AstenJohnson Valleyfield, Quebec. Cheryl is fluently bilingual.

Wendy O'Connor
Registered Physiotherapist, CCPE
A graduate of Dalhousie University, Wendy worked as a clinical physiotherapist for a number of years prior to establishing IPP in 1993. She is a presently a registered physiotherapist and a Canadian Certified Professional Ergonomist (CCPE). She has an extensive range of experience in the field of ergonomics in office and industrial environments in the public sector through thousands of assessments including ergonomic reviews and was an integral part of the ergonomics services team for the City of Ottawa from 1997 to 2021. She has also worked since 1997 as a Return to Work Specialist on-site weekly at industrial plants such as Nylene Canada and AstenJohnson, managing injuries through education, early intervention, and modified work programs.
